Days In Between, no. 1

Confession: my memory sucks. So I want to start posting a few more lifestyle posts that can remind me of the wonderful moments in life that happen on the normal days, or as I like to call them, the days in between.



Jeff and I were driving around with the windows down running errands yesterday. We listened to the wind as it whipped our hair in our faces and as the sun wrapped around us like a blanket. I looked down at my hand in his and just thought to myself "Remember this moment, Heather." In that moment, I was reminded why I said YES when he asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. It's these days in between.

Bridal Shower.

I'll save my apologies and excuses for my lack of posting for my next post, which I promise will be soon. This post is all about our bridal shower which was better than I could have ever imagined! My mom threw me a tea party themed shower that had the most beautiful centerpieces. Rachael (my maid of honor) and I made all of the cupcakes , we had a week full of baking and bonding. So without boring you all to bits with my talking too much, here are some photos of the shower...

I had a room full of about 80 people who all came to support and celebrate my marriage to Jeff. It was such a heart warming experience. We were showered in gifts, smiles, hugs and so much love. Thank you to everyone that helped with and came to the shower, we are both so so so grateful. I am honestly so blessed and my heart is still smiling. <3

P.S. My dress is from Modcloth, I thought it was perfect for a tea party. :)

Those fleeting moments.

Hi everyone and a warm welcome to all of my new readers! I'm so happy you are all here!! Sorry for my short absence, I'm currently adjusting to my new work schedule. I'm wearing sunglasses today to avoid scaring you all off with my crazy, tired eyes ;)




(Written over the weekend) Life is full of fleeting moments, you know those precious moments that go by inbetween blinks. The other night, so many of these small, insignificant moments occurred on our ride home from dinner. I love that my best friend can make a simple twenty minute drive into one of the funnest rides of my life!The ride was filled with laughter, bad jokes, singing, random noise making, howling and sticking our heads out the window screaming into the wind. It was nothing more than a hyperactive drive home, but it was all of those fleeting moments that added up to a memory that I will hold forever in my heart. Although none of those moments are life changing, it's those kinds of moments that have changed my life.



The weather today was beautiful, I soaked up every second of sunshine and fresh air. I'm looking forward to warm, sunny days! I hope you are all having an amazing week and I'll see you more this weekend! xoxo

Then & Now.

Today is my three year anniversary with Jeffery. We've celebrated anniversaries as boyfriend and girlfriend, now we are celebrating as fiances, and next year we will start celebrating the day we became husband and wife. As each day passes, I become more confident that this is the boy I was meant to be with forever.
Then: We were young, immature, selfish, stupid and in love.


Now: We are young, immature, selfless, smart* and in love.

We may not have the perfect love story, and it may not be easy all the time, but I am so glad I have Jeff in my life! Jeff and I completely balance each other out. I'm an optimistic, day dreamer with my head in the clouds. Jeff is an easy going, realist who keeps me grounded. We give each other exactly what we need and we have fun doing it. We have our rough days, but even then, I'm head over heels for this boy. He can drive me crazy and keep me sane all at the same time! I can't wait to live with this boy, we are going to have such a blast!

At the end of each day I feel completely blessed. My heart is so full of love, I swear I feel like it's going to burst out of my chest sometimes. I'm incredibly grateful for every smile, every kiss and every moment we share.  Happy anniversary to my very best friend and the love of my life!. I can't wait to become your wife so you're stuck with me forever and ever, muahaha! ;)

WEDDING UPDATE: I BOUGHT MY DRESS!!! I'm so thrilled to be able to cross this off my list! I was seriously stressing because of the time crunch, but I found the most beautiful lace dress! It's absolutely perfect and I can't wait for Jeff to see it on our wedding day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I'm such a hopeless romantic, so here is a Valentine's inspired post for you all. I'm a little late because I have just got home from our lovey festivities. At the bottom I have written a short, little love letter to Jeff. Happy Valentine's Day/Night everyone!

As every day passes, I grow more and more excited about being one day closer to becoming your wife. You will be my valentine every year for the rest of our lives and beyond. I will forever feel undeserving of your patience, affection and love. I am honestly the luckiest girl in the world to get to call you my Valentine, this year and for all of the years to come. I love you everyday, but this day is such a perfect oppurtunity to really tell you how much I adore you. I adore every freckle on your face. I adore how you are always making me laugh. Snow days.

So we got our fair share of snow last night, which I completely love! Well I love it because I got a snow day, and Jeff came over to bring my family lunch and play in the snow with me. Yes, we're basically five year olds. We played with my dog and had a foot race in knee deep snow, it was so fun! I love playing and goofing off with my best friend, it makes for the best days!

As much as I love the beautiful snow, I'm definitely ready for spring and warmer weather! I have so many ideas for spring time posts and I'm just too impatient for waiting! So we need to give winter a kind goodbye and rush it out the door! These pictures are from Sunday, before we got slammed with all of the snow (which was hyped up a bit more than it should have been)! Jeff and I had some major lighting issues, so these are the only decent photos!


I hope you all are staying warm and cozy! Let's just think about spring flowers and warm, fresh air! And February is such a great month, I'm a sucker for Valentine's Day. I'm already sending Jeffery gift ideas, hehe! More importantly though, it's a day dedicated to celebrating love and right now, my life is bursting with love! And of course, I love all of you, so this makes Valentine's Day extra special this year. <3

The perfect weekend.

Hello everyone, I really hope you all had a nice, relaxing weekend! I have to say, this was probably one of the best weekends ever for me! I went dress shopping Saturday which was amazing! Although, I learned I don't look like a 5'10 model in a wedding dress! Some of the dresses I tried on drowned me! But, I'm perfectly okay with being a 5'3 bride! I did find a dress I love (and yes, it was the first one I tried on)! My mom wants to look around a little more, but I think this dress could be the one! 


I also got to spend my entire Saturday with my all time favorite people. My maid of honor Rachael, bridesmaid Emily and my mom came with me dress shopping. My friend Emily drove in two hours from out of town and I get to spend the whole day with her! Then of course Jeffery came over Saturday evening and it was just so perfect! Sunday was filled with lots of tickles fights and giggles!



So these are my new favorite shoes. I've been looking everywhere for lace up, heel booties and these have the buckles to boot. Oh gosh, I love puns! When I saw these boots online, I immediately batted my eyelashes and Jeff to get them for me! :) These boots are so comfortable too, although I always walk funny when I wear heels. I feel like I clonk around. Is this normal?

Apple of my eye.

You may be wondering about the title of this post, seeing as how there are no apples in sight. But, if you look closely you can see Jeff's silhouette in my sunglasses, and he just so happens to be the apple of my eye. Ah yes, I can be that corny. Anyway, these photos are from Sunday afternoon. Jeff and I went to lunch and then went to see "No Strings Attached," which was so good.


So I finished "Everything is Illuminated" which was really good. I can't quite say the same for the movie, considering the movie omitted 2/3 of the book. Uncool. I always get really bummed out when movies change so many details of a really good book. I started "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" this week, so far it's amazing!


So this outfit makes me feel like a kid again. There something about a flowy, floral dress, pink bow shoes and a lollipop that brings out the kid in me. Oh and this necklace is my new favorite. This translates to "I love you more than yesterday, less than tomorrow." Such a beautiful quote and exactly how I feel about Jeffery!

So I'm thinking about doing a "shop my closet" thing this weekend. My closet is overflowing with things I don't wear! Is that something anyone would be interested in? Hope you all have a wonderful week! xo

Season Time Travel.

I promise I took these photos yesterday. I know it looks like a complete autumn day with the sunshine and the pumpkins, but it is in fact January. Now it's snowing again, this is Michigan weather at it's finest. Michigan is notorious for it's indecisive weather conditions!

So yesterday was a truly amazing day. I went to spend the evening with Jeff (after not seeing him for three days)! We decided to go out to dinner at Joe's Crab Shack and his best friend tagged along. It was a night full of quality time together and lots of laughs. I'm honestly so excited for married life! Life can get so hectic sometimes, so it will be so nice when we can come home to each other every night.

I absolutely love these boots from Blowfish Shoes. I wear them all the time! I'm also really wanting these in gray, these in walnut and these in gray. Just a little wish list for you all. Hehe. And here I am with my gray/brown combo. Two of my favorite colors together!

Video Blog #1

Hi, this is my embarrassing video blog, go easy on me! Once I learn some video editing, I'll put together a blooper reel because some of it is pretty funny!

Successful first vlog checklist:
Saying "um" 24 times in 3 minutes? Check.
Hitting my hand on a wall? Check.
Letting you know legal drinking ages? Check.
Goofy start up face? Check.

I was really nervous! I'm normally a rather bubbly person, but put me in front of a video camera and I feel like it sucks the personality out of me. But for my fisrt vlog, it will do! I'm definitely wanting to do some more creative videos and set them to music and all that, but I need Jeff to hold the camera (not my dresser). I love having a decent HD video camera, so I will be posting more videos for sure. Have a great night everyone!

Mustard Love.

Okay so if you follow my twitter, you'll know Jeff bought me something for Christmas today. At first he said I couldn't have it until Christmas, but after buying him something he wanted, we decided to trade. So now I can tell you all what I got...a new camera! I really wanted a DSLR, but seeing as how they cost so much money, that wasn't possible (we're saving for a wedding)! But Canon just came out with this glorified, amazing point and shoot camera, so we went and got one! I'm in love. Seriously, LOVE. It has so many cool features, including fish eye!

So first here is my outfit (taken with my old camera):

HAHA! I wore these shorts under my tunic/dress because it's rather short. I like knowing I have a backup bum cover in case of a windy situation.

Today was so beautiful! The sun was shining and although it was cold, it wasn't as cold as it has been, so I'm happy with that!
