Living on front porches.

Hello friends! I hope I'm finding you with a smile on your face. I have to say, I couldn't be more excited about tomorrow being Friday! We can all do a happy dance together in spirit. Tomorrow night, Jeff and I kick off our premarital counseling, which I'm actually looking forward to. I hope we can really learn something from it and walk away from the experience having grown even closer.

This is my first time mixing brown with blue tones. I love how blogging has taught me to constantly try new things. I officially don't care what others think about how I dress anymore. I live in a very unfashionable area so I'm getting used to stares from girls wearing sweatpants and slipper boots. I wear slipper boots at home, but not as actual shoes. Sigh, I don't get it. What's something that annoys you when you see someone wearing it? I want to feel justified in my disliking of the slipper boots as shoes! ;)

Oh and be sure to check out the Wardrobe Wanderlust facebook page to keep up with how we are all styling each others clothes! Anyway, I hope you are all having a heat wave like we are here in Michigan. I'm been loving our 50+ degree weather and sunny days. It's so nice being able to go outside without tons of layers and a big coat. Hello Spring? Is that you? ;) Have a great weekend everyone! xo

This outfit makes me think of nothing but spring. Perfect, happy, spring!

Pretty sure everyone in your town just stares at you because you always look so pretty! Especially in your blue floral dress!

Best of luck to you and Jeff for counseling! Obviously I've never done it myself, so I don't really have any pointers.... but do let us know! Someday I'll be in those marital shoes.

This is a really random blog comment since I'm touching on all subjects, but I too am not a fan of the sweats and uggs look. But what I hate even more are tights as pants and sweat pants and high heels. Yes. Heels. I'd take sweats and uggs over that look any day. lol

I know what you mean about living in an unfashionable area.... you look gorgeous though, all the staring sweatpants and slippers girls are probably just jealous of your beautiful outfits!
Good luck with the counseling, so refreshing to see people my age entering seriously into marriage :)

That dress looks amazing on you! And look I'm forcing myself not to lurk!! I'm commenting! AH! Well I thought I need to stop creeping on your blog... really I'm such a creep :) Hah Have fun with counseling. Man I don't even know who is going to officiate my ceremony... Oh well, and actually my ceremony location just fell through, tears were shed yesterday. And yes MI is quite unfashionable, but where I work ladies wear really nice expensive clothes, it's kinda intimidating.

This is so cuuute! I totally wouldn't have thought to mix brown and blue either, but now I want to copy you and do it. I have no original thoughts! But I'm really loving those shoes and tights together especially. Yay you for wearing whatever you like! Sometimes I still wonder if I'm "doing it wrong," but I need to kick that thought in ass and start doing whatever I want with no thought to other people.

Oh Heather, you're so cute with your slipper boot hatred! I don't even know what a slipper boot IS! I need a reference chart or something. I really don't know what I don't like people wearing, though. Whenever I see somebody dress in like... jeans and a t-shirt in Portland it weirds me out; everybody here has personal style! It's insane. If anything I'm tired of the whole hipster look. It's annoying and becoming trendy in and of itself!

aw you look lovely! I hope you and Jeff have a lovely time together at your premarital counselling (does it not seem wierd saying that?! You're going to be married - ahh!) Haha, just me then..
And I have joined the facebook group, what a fab idea! xo

I LOVE brown and blue together. I think I wore it about 75% off the time last summer. Can't wait to break out all my pretty brown flats again for spring.

Ooooh, premarital counseling sounds really interesting. You'll have to let us know how it goes!!

You look lovely - great colour combo :)

I used to live in a town with a uniform of tight ponytail held up high with a golden scrunchy, tracksuit bottoms (ideally with princess, slut or similar written across the bum). To be honest I don't mind what people wear. Even pajama shoppers amuse me more than they annoy me but I get grumpy when people look down their noses at me because they feel I am overdressed. It was the track suit uniform weares who were most disapproving of my sartorial choices. I'd get hackled from across the street all the time. But I stubbornly figured screw conformity. Let's all wear what we like :)

This is a really gorgeous outfit!! I loove that dress, and the brown tones really look great with it!
I really dislike when people wear their sweatpants and slipper boots, its always those girls on campus that give me dirty looks for wearing a cute dress. It really doesn't take a ton of effort to look better than sweatpants!

You look so pretty! Blue & brown are great together & your hair is so gorgeous.

I really dislike the whole north face fleece, sweat pants & uggs look that is still spotted on the majority of female college students in my town. It's terrible.
